Folio Jots vs Folio Docs

Folio Jots are for fast, lightweight capture — like a structured note on a record. Use a Jot for call notes, quick context, or anything you need to jot down without building a formal deliverable. Jots include the full rich editor (formatting, tables, code blocks) but emphasize speed.

  • @ mentions link to Salesforce records.
  • No live merge fields and no field write-back — those are Folio Docs features only.

Folio Docs is for formal, shareable Documentation: account plans, close plans, exec summaries, technical write-ups. Documents include everything Jots do, plus:

  • Live merge fields from Salesforce records
  • Field write-back (when enabled)
  • Document sharing, templates, and org-wide patterns suited to long-lived content

Both experiences share the same editor shell; scope and feature set differ by product.
