About Folio

Folio is a native Salesforce productivity suite that brings rich Document editing and quick note capture directly inside your Salesforce org. All data lives in Salesforce — there are no external connections, no third-party servers, and no data ever leaves your org.

Folio consists of two products:

• Folio Jots — A lightweight quick-capture note editor that drops onto any Salesforce record page. Use Jots to capture thoughts, log context, and link notes to records. Free for all users.
• Folio Docs — A full-featured Document editor for Salesforce teams. Write account plans, close plans, case documentation, and other structured content directly on Salesforce records. Includes live merge fields that display real Salesforce data inside Documents, field write-back to push edited values back to the record, Document sharing, templates, and more.

Both products use the same rich WYSIWYG (fully visual) block-style editor: what you type and format looks correct as you write — no Markdown syntax or preview toggle required. Unlike editors where you type **bold** and switch views to see the result, Folio stays visual: bold looks bold, tables look like tables, and headings look like headings while you type.

Folio respects Salesforce sharing and security for records and Folio data. Users only see what your org configuration allows.
