Glossary

  • Document — A Folio Docs rich-text artifact, typically long-lived, with merge fields, sharing, and templates where enabled.
  • Jot — A quick-capture note on a record (created with Folio Jots); @ mentions only (no live merge fields).
  • Explorer — The Lightning page for searching Documents and Jots across the org (Explorer).
  • Merge field — A live chip in a Document showing a Salesforce field value; may support write-back when configured (@ commands).
  • Template — Admin-defined starter Document with placeholders (Template management).
  • Utility panel — Right-hand editor panel for info, sharing, export, focus, and more (Utility panel).
  • Folio Admin — Administrator experience for org configuration (Admin Panel overview).
